In this book you will learn about some of the lesser known Medal of Honor recipients, many of whom made the ultimate sacrifice. There are men who were passed over for this honor due to their race and received it later in life at the insistence of family or because of oversight committees dedicated to righting some of the wrongs of the previous generation. There is a story of a young lawyer with a promising career that gave it up to serve his county. Another is of a young high school dropout who would rise in ranks from a mere corporal to a General. Yet another is from the poor side of L.A. and was nicknamed the “One Man Army” for his actions during the war. There is nothing gentle or kind about war. The battles that these men faced were real. They were hell on earth. These men stood in the flames and fought back when others would cower in fear.
